Uniontown Area High School welcomes incoming freshmen and transfer students Tuesday, August 11 at 9:00 AM for 'Raider Up Day' orientation — a chance to tour the building, find classrooms and lockers, and meet faculty before the first official day of school on August 25.
UNIONTOWN — The halls of Uniontown Area High School will fill with incoming freshmen and transfer students on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, for the district's official "Raider Up Day" orientation, scheduled to begin promptly at 9:00 AM.
The orientation gives rising 9th graders an opportunity to tour the building, locate their classrooms and lockers, review the updated 2026–2027 Student and Parent Handbook, and meet faculty members prior to the first official day of school on Tuesday, August 25.
District officials also highlighted the launch of the new student- and staff-operated Red Raider Athletics Network, which will live-stream athletics, extracurricular events, and School Board of Directors meetings throughout the upcoming academic year.
"Raider Up Day is designed to eliminate high school anxiety before the first morning bell," stated High School Principal Robert Machesky. "When our freshmen enter the building on August 25, they already know where their classes are, how their lockers operate, and who their support team is."
Parents are reminded that mandatory CIPPE sports physical documentation must be submitted prior to athletic participation, and student schedule updates remain accessible via the district's online portal.
