Uniontown Planning for the Future
Uniontown officials continue work on an updated comprehensive plan that could help shape future decisions involving development, infrastructure, transportation, housing and economic growth.
The planning process gives residents an opportunity to weigh in on the future direction of the city.
Trash Collection Contract Approved
Uniontown City Council approved a new four-year trash and recycling collection agreement that is expected to reduce collection rates for city residents.
Residents should watch for additional information regarding implementation and any changes to services or schedules.
Road Work Continues
PennDOT bridge-preservation work continues on major Fayette County transportation corridors, including Routes 51, 21, 40 and 119.
Drivers should expect periodic restrictions and allow additional time when traveling through active work zones.
The Layton Bridge replacement project also continues to affect portions of Layton Road, Tunnel Road and the Great Allegheny Passage.
