VANDERBILT, Pa. — A 26-year-old Vanderbilt resident remains in custody following a weekend incident that resulted in multiple criminal charges.
Lindsay Renee Custer was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, fleeing to avoid apprehension, evading arrest on foot, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
Custer was committed to the Fayette County Prison after failing to post $25,000 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for August 24 in Fayette County.
In Pennsylvania, a preliminary hearing serves to determine whether sufficient evidence exists to advance charges to the Court of Common Pleas; it does not determine guilt or innocence.
All charges are allegations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
